Dear Dickinson Community Non-Profit Organization: The City of Dickinson is excited to announce that $16,900 has been awarded to 4 community service organizations through the Red, White & Bayou Crawfish & Texas Music Festival grant program. The 2016 Red, White & Bayou Festival grant recipients are: Dickinson ISD Education Foundation, M. I. Lewis Social Service Center, Family Service Center of Galveston County and Dickinson Historical Society.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide grants to these organizations that do extremely valuable work for the Dickinson community,” said Julie Robinson, City Administrator. “We hope to continue to grow this event so we can have an even greater impact on the community and help even more organizations continue to make Dickinson a great place to live and work.”
Recipients of the Red, White and Bayou grants are selected through a competitive application process during which each applicant must describe the goals of their proposed project or program and how that project or program will positively impact the Dickinson community and its citizens. Since the Festival began in 2009, $134,900 in community grants have been distributed to various non-profit organizations.
